There are times in life when we can feel that we have little control over the events that are taking place around us. At theses times it is common to feel emotional upsets that seem to take us on a roller coaster ride, with more downs than ups. Sometimes we are resilient enough to ride the roller coaster out and there are times when we would wish someone could help us and support us. At these times many don’t know where to turn for help and for that matter don’t know what type of help is available. Even for those that do know about the help available, it can be a challenge to call out for help, as they consider calling for help is a sign of weakness. Then there is always the uncertainty as to whether the help available really works. What needs to be understood is that not to ask for help can be a sign of denial and that to call out for help takes strength. Many of the people who have called out for help from the LifeStyle Plus Centre took quite some time to decide to ask for help and even after they did, they admitted that they did so reluctantly.
